The modular system is based on a three part clamp conceived by Benjamin Unterluggauer in 2017. In 2020 John Hayden and Benjamin Unterluggauer established MOKIT as a brand. The modular system based on a three part clamp combines wooden or aluminum rods creating a wide range of applications ranging from furniture to exhibition design. The clamp connector is produced in Germany using  FDM 3D printers and is available on the MOKIT website.

Since 2020 MOKIT is a design studion operating out of Kiel, Germany.
